Radix’s strong commitment with education and corporate social responsibility has helped students and young professionals to further their education and advance their careers
A new busy career fair season is about to kick off at the end of this month, and Radix is looking forward to meeting students looking for internships and talk about available opportunities at the company. To start off on a good note, Radix will attend and participate in the Spring 2019 Engineering Career Fair at Texas A&M in College Station, TX on January 24th from 9am to 4pm, and at the University of Houston on February 07th. from 10am to 3pm.
Radix operates in several academic initiatives carried out in the United States and in the main Brazilian universities, either offering internships, giving lectures and mini courses, hosting and supporting educational events, and sponsoring teams in scholar competitions. Radix’s strong commitment with education and corporate social responsibility has helped students and young professionals to further their education and advance their careers.
In the United States for instance, Radix had two Chemical Engineering interns from the University of Massachusetts join the team to work alongside its Engineers in a project in Amherst, MA (http://www.radixeng.com/news/477/radix-interns-to-help-implement-an-operational-intelligence-solution-for-university-of-massachusetts) last spring. During the summer, Radix welcomed two high schoolers interested in engineering and software-based careers (http://www.radixeng.com/news/517/students-training-program-at-radix), and two undergrad students from Georgia Tech and University of Texas Austin who are graduating in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering (http://www.radixeng.com/news/535/summer-interns-return-to-school). This past fall, a Chemical Engineer student from University of Houston has joined our program.
Ana Mastrangelo, who has been with Radix US for almost 4 years now, is strongly involved in recruiting and emphasizes the importance of investing in interns: “Internships have always been important to Radix as we aim to make it a long-term relationship with students who often come onboard full-time after graduating. Radix's interns are given responsibilities in various projects in hopes of providing them the opportunity to learn and grow professionally. They bring new and fresh minds and are eager and motivated, thus allowing the company to renovate and thrive in the constantly evolving world."
